Tuition Credit Policy
1. Introduction
This Tuition Credit Policy outlines how tuition credits may be issued, used, transferred, and managed by Great Light Education ("GLE", "we", "our", or "us").
This policy should be read together with our Refund Policy, Withdrawal Policy, Attendance Policy, and Terms and Conditions.
2. What Is a Tuition Credit?
A tuition credit is a non-cash credit issued by Great Light Education that may be applied towards future eligible programs and services offered by Great Light Education.
Tuition credits are not cash and cannot be redeemed, refunded, exchanged, or transferred except as outlined in this policy.
3. When Tuition Credits May Be Issued
Great Light Education may issue tuition credits in circumstances including, but not limited to:
• Approved student withdrawal requests
• Approved pause or deferral requests
• Class cancellations initiated by Great Light Education
• Program changes approved by management
• Exceptional circumstances approved by Great Light Education
• Administrative adjustments or goodwill gestures
The issuing of tuition credits remains at the sole discretion of Great Light Education unless otherwise required by law.
4. Use of Tuition Credits
Approved tuition credits may be used towards:
• Mini Group Classes
• One-to-One Tutoring
• Holiday Programs
• Workshops
• Assessments
• Other eligible Great Light Education services
Tuition credits cannot be used for:
• Cash withdrawals
• Gift cards
• Third-party products or services
• Services not offered by Great Light Education
5. Credit Transfers Between Siblings
Tuition credits may be transferred between immediate siblings enrolled with Great Light Education, subject to approval.
Requests must be submitted using the Credit Transfer Request Form.
Parents or legal guardians must confirm that they have authority to make decisions for both students involved.
Great Light Education reserves the right to approve or decline any transfer request.
Credits may not be transferred to:
• Friends
• Cousins
• Other relatives
• Unrelated students
6. Credit Expiry
Unless otherwise stated in writing, tuition credits expire 12 months from the date they are issued.
Expired credits:
• Cannot be reinstated;
• Cannot be redeemed for cash; and
• Cannot be extended except at the discretion of Great Light Education.
7. Student Withdrawal
Where a student withdraws from a program and Great Light Education approves a tuition credit:
• The remaining balance may be converted to a tuition credit;
• Administrative fees already incurred may be deducted;
• Any used lessons or services will be deducted before calculating the remaining credit.
8. Pause and Deferred Enrolment
Where a student temporarily pauses enrolment:
• Tuition credits may be issued where appropriate;
• Credits may be applied to future classes upon return;
• Original class placement may not be guaranteed.

9. Non-Transferable and Non-Refundable
Unless required by Australian Consumer Law:
• Tuition credits are not refundable;
• Tuition credits cannot be exchanged for cash;
• Tuition credits cannot be sold;
• Tuition credits cannot be transferred outside the immediate family.
10. Exceptional Circumstances
Great Light Education may consider special requests on a case-by-case basis, including:
• Serious medical circumstances
• Extended hospitalisation
• Relocation overseas
• Other exceptional situations
Supporting documentation may be requested.
11. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
12. Policy Changes
Great Light Education reserves the right to update or amend this Tuition Credit Policy at any time.
The current version of the policy available through Great Light Education will apply.
